Basic Air Sieve, Mikro Air Jet Sieve for 200mm Test Sieves

The Basic Mikro Air Jet Sieve for 200mm Test Sieves is a single-sieve system for 10 to 100g samples of dry powders from No. 4 to No. 635 (4.75mm to 20μm). Clean and quiet operation. A rotating slotted nozzle supplies positive air pressure to gently fluidize the sample in a covered test sieve. The test sieve screens use specialized sieve cloth to ensure precision and accuracy. Exiting air is drawn downward with an external vacuum system, carrying undersize particles to a collection canister. Air Jet sieving is gentle, effective and efficient, speeding up particle size analysis and especially useful for fragile or low specific gravity materials. Test times and pressure settings are controlled through the integrated computer with capacitive touch screen and display, providing detailed information about the analysis process. Basic or Advanced versions are available, each with separate models for ISO 200mm and older style Air Jet Sieves or ASTM 8in (203mm) diameter Test Sieves. The scope of delivery includes various components and accessories that enhance the product’s functionality and user experience. The Basic Mikro Air Jet Sieve for 200mm Test Sieves is for micron size evaluation. It consists of the base unit with clear acrylic sieve cover, slotted brass air nozzle, electronic controls and integrated computer and touch screen display. 15-Watt bevel-gear motor with lifetime lubricated bearings. Cast aluminum instrument housing with built-in pressure differential gauge and baked enamel finish. Integral electrical outlet for vacuum cleaner which creates in the sieving chamber to dislodge agglomerated particles and draw them through the sieve fabric. Vacuum is monitored at the housing outlet and has a control valve for adjustment.

The Basic Mikro Air Jet Sieve for 200mm Test Sieves accepts 200mm ISO Test Sieve screens or old-style Air Jet Sieves. A vacuum system is required for operation and sold separately. The Vacuum System is recommended for best performance on most materials, including very fine and conductive specimens. The Standard Vacuum System has a low-noise 1,000-Watt motor and low-profile epoxy-lined steel filter canister with 4gal (15L) capacity. Note the Standard Vacuum System is not for conductive materials or materials with high fines.

The Cyclone Collector, used with the vacuum systems, gives best recovery of sub-micron fines.
