ASTM Tired Wheel Assembly
The ASTM Tired Wheel Assembly is used with the Accelerated Polishing Machine to maintain an 88lbf (391N) load on the road wheel as required by ASTM D3319. This Goodyear pneumatic assembly is 8in (203mm) in diameter and 2in (51mm) wide and meets ASTM and AASHTO standards. During testing, the tire maintains continuous contact with the Abrasives-Silicon Carbide Grit.
