The ViscoQC 300R Rotational Viscometer from Anton Paar gives you fast, reproducible, high temperature viscosity measurements that match the time consuming AASHTO T 201 glass capillary method. The torque to maintain a constant rotation speed of a specified spindle in the test sample is measured and converted to dynamic viscosity. Digital leveling ensures precise dynamic viscosity measurements by monitoring and indicating the correct digital leveling status so you don’t get false measurements and overall accuracy.
ASTM and AASHTO rotational dynamic reliable viscosity tests determine asphalt binders and develop temperature/dynamic viscosity relationships to determine mixing and compaction temperatures for paving mixes. The chamber with the sample is temperature controlled in a liquid or air bath while rotational forces are applied through the spindle.
The ViscoQC performs multi-point dynamic viscosity measurements from 100 to 40 million cP or mPa/s with accuracy to ±1% and repeatability of ±0.2%. The rotational speed range is fully adjustable from 0.01rpm to 250rpm, with 18 standard speed presets. Operating modes can be selected to customize test methods. The ViscoQC can also perform speed or shear rate controlled tests.
All measurement data and programming functions are displayed on the 7in full-color touchscreen. Up to 999 tests with up to 10,000 sub-measurements can be stored in memory for printing or exporting to a computer. Multiple languages are supported for data input and display. The instrument can be integrated into network Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) or FTP Servers. The ViscoQC comes pre-assembled and is ready to use in a few minutes. V-Collect software is a free download to print and export data as PDF or CSV files. The PC data collection software enhances QC data generation and export capabilities, connects to multiple instruments for data management and storage and makes the workflow in the lab more efficient and automated.
