Featuring an increased sample capacity over this model, this pycnometer is built with a 7.5x9in (191x229mm) ID x H aluminum volumetric canister that can accommodate specimens up to 4,000g — making it ideal for paving mixtures containing aggregates up to 1.5in (38.1mm) in size. The unit includes a transparent acrylic vacuum lid, which allows for easy visual monitoring during testing, and an aluminum lid with a capillary bore, both of which are designed for use in specific gravity determinations of compacted bituminous mixtures.

Also included is a 3/8x48in (9.5x1,219mm) ID x L vacuum tubing with a quick-disconnect fitting, a 3/8in (9.5mm) threaded sink aspirator with a faucet adapter, and two hose clamps for a secure, airtight seal during testing.
