Pneumatic Consolidation Load Frames with Karol-Warner’s exclusive CONBEL™ design deliver reliable pneumatic loading for high-precision soil consolidation testing. These advanced load frames are designed to apply and maintain loads instantly, featuring low-load functionality for precise application of small confining loads. Loads are applied and controlled pneumatically with a precision pressure regulator, ensuring accuracy. A compact design conserves valuable bench space, while digital displays provide clear load readings. Equipped with pressure regulators and transducers offering a ±0.1% linearity, these self-contained units meet the rigorous demands of soil testing labs.

The robust 1in (25.4mm) thick aluminum platforms include adjustable centering pads, accommodating consolidation rings up to 7.25in (184mm) in diameter. The platform clearance measures 8.25x7.75in (210x197mm), WxH. Stainless steel vertical rods support the cross-head and dial gauge, while a durable enamel-coated steel cabinet protects the unit. Each load frame includes a Loading Ball. Fixed or floating-ring consolidometers and dial indicators are sold separately. An air compressor (user-supplied) is required for operation. Optional Consolidation Data Acquisition Software, compatible with LVDT or Digital Dial Indicators, records test data and generates reports compliant with ASTM and AASHTO standards.
