Whitehouse Sieve Standards No.7 (2.80mm)
Whitehouse Sieve Standards offer a reliable and efficient way to calibrate No. 6 (3.35mm) and finer sieves with traceability to NIST. Calibration is fast, taking just minutes, and eliminates the need to ship sieves offsite or take them out of service. Regular checks help determine when sieves need replacement. Each standard includes five single-use vials of precision glass beads tailored for a specific sieve size. For 8in or 200mm sieves, a single vial is used, while larger sieves up to 18in or 450mm may require two to five vials. Once processed, the average aperture is easily determined using the included calibration graph.
Whitehouse is trusted globally, having been selected by the Community Bureau of Reference (BCR) to produce standards for the European Community. These standards are traceable to NIST, NPL, and BCR. The spherical glass beads are made from soda-lime glass (2.45 specific gravity) and are size-certified using electroformed sieves, microscopy, and image analysis.
Whitehouse Sieve Standards for No. 7 (2.80mm) sieves include five vials, each with a nominal weight of 25.0g.
