The Oakfield Apparatus Turf Probe is a 36" one-piece sampler for grass and turf. The small diameter helps you minimize damage to your greens. It has an 11" soil tube and a replaceable, screw-on Turf Probe Tip. A 5" handle is welded on to the probe for convenience. As a single unit, it's incredibly durable and there's nothing to take apart, so it's easy to grab and go.
This turf sampler takes a core sample approximately 7" long by 1/2" in width. The tube is designed to eliminate friction in the tube after cutting the sample. The tube has a non-clogging design with a cut-out in the front to allow for easy soil removal, visual inspection, and cleaning. The sample is unloaded from the tube without binding or compacting. It is marked at 6" intervals to indicate sampling depth.
