Sound Level Meter and Datalogger with Audio Recording
This innovative Sound Level Meter allows you to not only measure sound levels but also record live audio that syncs directly with the sound intensity graph. This unique feature enables you to play back the recording and see the exact moment a specific sound event occurred on the graph, making it easier than ever to identify the source of noise pollution.
Comprehensive Data Collection and Analysis
With the included software, you can effortlessly collect, analyze, and document all critical sound data. This includes standard metrics like dB levels, Sound Pressure Level (SPL), and Time-Weighted Average (LEQ). The standout feature, however, remains the ability to correlate this data with a live audio recording, allowing you to pinpoint the precise cause of noise spikes or variations. Accurate to within ±1.0 dB, this meter meets or exceeds the rigorous specifications for IEC 61672:2013 Class 2 and ANSI S1.4:2014 Type 2 sound level meters. It also complies with ANSI S1.43:1997 and IEC 61672-3:2013 for Integrating-Averaging Sound Level Meters, ensuring its reliability for professional use.
Advanced Datalogging and Display
The device can store up to 64,000 data records internally, each complete with a date and time stamp. This data can be easily downloaded to a computer for in-depth analysis and reporting. All measurement parameters are displayed simultaneously on a large, bright, backlit LCD screen, which features a crisp 0.1 dB resolution and a dynamic bar graph for at-a-glance monitoring.
User-Friendly Features
- Weighting Options: Selectable A and C frequency weightings, along with fast and slow time weightings, provide flexibility for various testing environments.
- Alerts and Outputs: Features MIN/MAX measurement, over/under range alarms, and both AC and DC recorder outputs for connecting to external devices.
- Calibration: Maintain accuracy and compliance with OSHA standards by using our optional Acoustical Calibrator (Model 850016).
- Power Management: Includes an optional auto-power-off feature to conserve battery life.
What's Included
Your Sound Level Meter comes ready to use in a durable, foam-lined carrying case. The package also includes a windscreen, USB cable, instruction manual, recorder output plug, and 4 AAA batteries, which provide approximately 5 hours of continuous use with sound recording enabled. An optional microphone extension cable is available for taking remote measurements.
For the most stable and precise readings, this instrument features a standard tripod mount. We highly recommend using a tripod during measurement sessions.
