Soil Probes: Model B Kit
The Oakfield Apparatus Soil Probe Kit is a deluxe, compact soil kit that comes with a 12” handle, a 12” soil tube (cylinder), replaceable Regular Soil Tip, and two 12” extension rods that can be used together or separately. The cylinder is where the magic happens and where the soil samples are collected efficiently and cleanly. When both extension rods are screwed on, the probe is 36” tall so you don’t have to bend your back and can sample deeper. The extension rods also allow you to operate the probe from the cab of a vehicle or equipment so you’re comfortable and convenient. The design of the probe reduces cycle time so each soil sampling operation is faster and more efficient. All parts can be unscrewed and stored in the included 13” fiberboard case for easy storage.
The soil tube will take a core approximately 8” long by 3/4” in width. The outer diameter of the tube is 15/16”. The tube is designed to eliminate friction in the tube after severing the sample. The non-clogging design has a cut-out in the front to allow for easy soil removal, visual inspection and cleaning. The sample is unloaded from the tube without binding or compacting. It’s marked at 6” intervals to show sampling depth. Parts are easy to take apart for convenient carrying in the 13” long fiberboard case. You can use the probe for soil sampling in lawns, gardens and agricultural fields. Many users find it easy to use in different soil conditions and like its performance and durability. The non-clogging design and clear depth markings are important for accurate and efficient soil sampling. It’s a reliable product that makes collecting soil for testing easy and worth the investment. Many customers would recommend this probe based on its ease of consistent results. We also have recommendations on our website to help you choose the right soil probe for your needs.
