U.S. Sieves are high-quality sieves made from either brass or stainless steel, with mesh screens also available in brass or stainless steel. They are designed to meet ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials) specifications. Most sieves are 8" in diameter with a 2" full height (or 1" half height), but other sizes, such as 3" or 12" diameters, are also available. You can choose from the following combinations: brass frame/brass mesh, brass frame/stainless mesh, or stainless frame/stainless mesh. All frames are skirted to nest together for easy stacking. Understanding Part Numbers:

The part numbers indicate key sieve specifications:

• Mesh size: The first number corresponds to the ASTM size sequence.
• Frame and mesh material: Represented by two letters: "B" for brass and "S" for stainless steel. For example, BB means brass frame and brass mesh, while SS means stainless frame and stainless mesh.
• Diameter: The next number specifies the sieve diameter (e.g., 8 or 12 inches).
• Height: The final letter indicates the height, "F" for full or "H" for half height.

Examples:

• 40BB8F: 40 mesh, brass frame, and brass mesh, 8" diameter, full height (2").
• 50SS12F: 50 mesh, stainless frame, and stainless mesh, 12" diameter, full height (4 ¼").

Some sizes may feature inch measurements instead of U.S. Sieve mesh sizes. A "0" in the first position indicates a frame and skirt only, allowing users to add their own screen material.
