The RTFO Sample Bottle is specifically designed as a sample container for use with Rolling Thin Film Ovens (RTFO) to determine the effect of heat and air on a moving film of semi-solid asphaltic materials. Manufactured exclusively in the USA, this bottle is essential for conducting tests according to ASTM D2872, AASHTO T 240, and CTM 346 standards.

Each bottle is individually hand-blown from high-quality Pyrex brand borosilicate glass, ensuring superior heat resistance and chemical durability. A unique serial number is etched onto every bottle, providing full traceability for quality control and laboratory documentation. The bottle features a precise opening of 32mm (1.25in) and a total length of 140mm (5.5in).

Having additional bottles on hand is highly recommended to improve testing efficiency. It allows for the pre-loading of samples, which significantly speeds up the sample preparation process and reduces downtime between tests. A complete set consists of eight bottles, allowing a full cycle of testing without needing to stop and clean containers.
