Replacement Stainless Mesh Filter Disc, 2in, No. 500
Replaceable Mesh Discs for Nickel Plated Wet-Wash Sieves save you money and are easy to change out when the sieve discs wear out.
Gilson’s interchangeable ASTM E11 mesh discs have opening sizes from No. 60 (250µm) to No. 635 (20µm). This means the mesh count and size is clearly defined for practical use. You can also add features or options to customize your purchase. They are tensioned and sealed by a matching ridge and groove in the frame. Discs are cut to fit 2in, 3in or 10in diameter frames. Pre-punched mounting holes line up with fastening screws on sieve frames.
Stainless Steel Mesh Replacement Disc is 2in (51mm) diameter with No. 100 (150µm) openings. The pre-cut disc is made with ASTM E11 testing grade cloth and has punched mounting holes for an exact fit in 2in Nickel Plated Wet-Wash Sieve Frames. Customer reviews and ratings show the quality and reliability of these discs. Replacement Discs are interchangeable and easy to replace when worn.
Choosing the right supplier is important to ensure availability of features and options.

Filter Discs
Filter discs, also known as mesh filter discs, are used in many industries to separate particles from liquids or gases. These discs are made from wire mesh, which is either woven or sintered to achieve a specific mesh count. The mesh count, measured in lines per inch (LPI), determines the filtration capacity, with higher LPI values meaning finer filtration. Designed for very fine filtration, these discs have high corrosion resistance, making them suitable for high temperature, chemical and other harsh environments. The disc diameter and wire mesh material can be customized to meet your needs, for a durable and precise filtration solution for your industry.

Industries That Use Filter Discs
Filter discs are used in many industries including pharmaceutical, food and beverage, chemical and industrial manufacturing. These industries require high quality filtration solutions to ensure product purity and quality. In laboratories, hospitals and other healthcare facilities filter discs are used to filter liquids and gases, meet safety and regulatory requirements. Filter discs are critical in these industries to prevent contamination, ensure product integrity and meet strict quality controls.
Replacement Disc Applications
The replacement disc is used to maintain continuous filtration and minimize downtime. It is used in applications such as water treatment, air purification and chemical processing. Designed for maintenance the replacement disc reduces the risk of contamination and ensures optimal filtration. Suitable for high temperature applications it is ideal that require precise filtration in harsh environments. By maintaining consistent filtration the replacement disc keeps your operation running efficiently and product quality.
Maintenance
Proper installation and maintenance of filter discs is critical for optimal filtration and to prevent contamination. Handle the discs with care to not damage the wire mesh and install in a clean controlled environment. Regular maintenance including cleaning and inspection is required to extend the life of the filter disc and prevent clogging or corrosion. Replace the filter disc when needed to maintain peak performance. Follow these procedures to ensure product quality, minimize downtime and reduce maintenance costs and overall operational efficiency.
