Relative Density Mold Sets are designed to work with the Relative Density Gauge Set for measuring volume changes in granular soils. Constructed from durable cast aluminum, these molds are built for convenience, featuring carrying handles and guide brackets. Each set includes a detachable guide sleeve with a clamp assembly, a surcharge base plate with a removable handle, and a surcharge weight with a handle.

The set has a capacity of 0.1ft³ (3L) and measures 6in (152.4mm) ID x 6.112in (155.2mm) IH. The combined weight of the surcharge weight and base plate is 56.5 ±0.5lb (25.5 ±0.2kg).
