Precision Colorimetric Cuvettes for 3nh Spectrophotometers
Ensure accurate and reliable colorimetric measurements with our range of high-quality cuvettes, specifically engineered for seamless compatibility with 3nh TS, YS, NH, and NS series Spectrophotometers. These precision-crafted cuvettes are essential for diverse applications, from industrial quality control to laboratory research, ensuring optimal light transmission and consistent results.
Tailored for Your Spectrophotometer – 3 Cuvette Types Available for the Universal Test Component:
Our selection includes three distinct cuvette designs, each optimized for specific 3nh instrument series and designed to integrate perfectly with the Universal Test Component (UTC) for versatile sample analysis.
-
Rectangular Cuvette (10mm Optical Path):
- Compatibility: Designed for 3nh TS and YS series Spectrophotometers.
- Optical Path: Standard 10mm path length, ideal for a wide range of liquid sample analyses, ensuring precise absorbance and transmittance readings.
- Construction: Robust quartz glass, providing excellent transparency across the visible and UV spectrum (for appropriate models). Features a single-sided wall thickness of 2mm for durability.
- External Dimensions: 55mm (Length) x 14mm (Width) x 54mm (Height). This compact design fits securely within the instrument's sample holder, minimizing alignment issues.
-
Square Cuvette (50mm Optical Path):
- Compatibility: Engineered for 3nh NH series Spectrophotometers.
- Optical Path: Extended 50mm path length, crucial for analyzing samples with very low concentrations or for detecting subtle color differences, maximizing sensitivity.
- Construction: High-quality optical glass or quartz for superior light transmission, with a single-sided wall thickness of 2mm.
- External Dimensions: 54mm (Length) x 54mm (Width) x 55mm (Height).
-
Circular Colorimetric Cuvette:
- Compatibility: Exclusively for 3nh NS series Spectrophotometers.
- Design: Circular shape, specifically designed for specialized applications where spherical or irregular samples are measured, or for bulk sample analysis.
- External Dimensions: Available in 36mm and 60mm diameters, providing flexibility for different sample volumes and measurement requirements.
Essential Precautions for Optimal Cuvette Performance and Longevity:
To maintain the accuracy and lifespan of your colorimetric cuvettes, strict adherence to handling and maintenance protocols is critical:
- Handle with Care: Always hold cuvettes by their frosted or non-optical sides. Avoid touching the clear optical surfaces, as fingerprints can absorb light and interfere with measurements. Store cuvettes in a clean, dust-free environment to prevent scratches and contamination.
- Avoid Corrosive Substances: Do not store solutions containing strong acids, bases, or organic solvents that could potentially etch or discolor the cuvette material, compromising its optical properties.
- Temperature Sensitivity: Cuvettes are not designed for extreme temperatures. Never place them directly on an open flame, electric stove, or in a high-temperature drying oven, as this can lead to deformation, cracking, or damage to the optical coating.
- Prompt Cleaning: If contamination is observed inside the cuvette, clean it immediately. Use only specialized cuvette cleaning solutions, distilled water, or anhydrous ethanol. Avoid abrasive materials that could scratch the optical surfaces.
- Prevent Physical Damage: Ensure the transparent optical surfaces do not come into contact with hard or dirty objects. When filling, a solution height of approximately two-thirds of the cuvette is ideal to prevent overflow and ensure stable measurement. If any residue or liquid remains on the optical surface after use, gently blot it with high-quality filter paper, then carefully wipe with lens paper or a soft, lint-free silk cloth.
By following these guidelines, you will ensure the best possible performance from your 3nh spectrophotometers and extend the life of your valuable cuvettes.
