VDO removes air bubbles created during in-service oxidative ageing of asphalt binder by PAV. Unlike conventional vacuum ovens which measure the temperature of the vacuum, our product measures the temperature at the aluminum support for sample tins, for more accurate degassing. This measurement method differs from conventional vacuum ovens, which typically measure temperature inside the vacuum chamber, and addresses the poor conductor nature of vacuum environments by providing a more stable and accurate reading at the aluminum support. Vacuum degassing ovens are specialized equipment to remove air from asphalt specimens, with automated controls, programmable vacuum and temperature settings and can handle multiple sample containers. The vacuum degassing process is a standard practice for removing entrapped air from asphalt specimens, and rapid removal of these bubbles is essential to meet testing standards.
