The Profometer 630AI PM-630 Rebar Locator and Covermeter has more functionality than the CT-160 with Single-Line, Multi-Line and Area Scan Modes and advanced statistics. Single and multi-line scans allow for continuous cover measurement over long distances with or without bar diameter measurement. Colours for cover and bar diameter can be assigned to highlight areas of concern. Diameter spot measurement is critical for accuracy in construction and structural integrity testing. Area Scan gives a simplified view of cover over a large area. This makes it easy to check slabs and structural walls against code requirements for corrosion protection and fire resistance. Shallower depths can give diameter accuracy of ±1mm. #12 (40mm) bars can be detected at 2.5in (63mm) deep with accuracy of ±1mm. Detection and measurement limits and accuracy are dependent on cover depth and bar diameter. There are three models for cover meters, each with a color touchscreen in a rugged housing to withstand field conditions.
