Ohaus Guardian 5000 Hot Plate Stirrers deliver precise heating and stirring for liquid samples, making them an essential tool for laboratory applications. Featuring a ceramic top plate, they ensure uniform heat distribution from ambient +5°C up to 500°C, while a software-controlled magnetic drive system provides accurate stirring speeds from 60 to 1600rpm.

Equipped with the SafetyHeat™ protection system, these hot plate stirrers include two independent sensors that continuously monitor the hot plate to prevent overheating. The system automatically shuts down the heater if an overtemperature condition is detected, while a hot top indicator alerts users when the surface temperature exceeds 40°C for added safety.

Accuracy is enhanced with single-point calibration, allowing users to improve heating precision at a selected temperature. Up to three calibration points for the heating plate and three for the optional probe can be saved. The large, easy-to-read LCD display shows temperature, stirring speed, and a hot top indicator, ensuring easy monitoring from across the lab.

The SmartHousing™ enclosure is designed to stay cool to the touch, resist chemicals, simplify cleaning, and protect internal components from spills. Additional features include an on/off heater switch and a built-in support rod holder for convenience. The Guardian 5000 hot plate stirrers are available with capacities of 15L or 18L and can support weights up to 14.5kg (32lbs). They operate on 120V, 50/60Hz, with models featuring an "F" suffix built for 230V, 50/60Hz. An optional temperature probe is available for precise sample temperature control.
