Lined Carbon Steel grinding jars have "quick change" snap in liners which are especially useful when cross contamination of varied materials must be avoided. The standard liner is neoprene, but polyurethane, low ash rubber, EPDM or Nitrile (BUNA-N) is also available.

All grinding jars are equipped with a positive lid locking bar for quick, easy operation. All units come with precision fit covers having a neoprene gasket. Optional gaskets of other materials are available. All jar sizes (except 000) accept an optional discharge cover which has a grate allowing the grinding media to be retained when the ground material is poured from the jar.

High Alumina fired ceramic has higher service life, negligible silica contamination, and polyurethane coated body to minimize breakage. Both have wide mouths for fast loading/ cleaning and neoprene gasketed lids with positive-locking bar and hand wheel. Jar capacities range from 0.3—5.6L, and diameters from 3.4—9.5in (86—241mm). Burundum is supplied in 10lb (5kg) packages. Premium high-density 5.55 specific gravity Zirconia mills twice as fast as alumina with less wear of grinding jars and media. Zirconia is sold in 5lb (2kg) packages.
