Humboldt offers several great controllers to use with our compression machines so you can choose the one that fits your application.

Automatic Controllers Humboldt’s line of controllers includes the HCM-5080, an automatic controller and the HCM-5070, a console version of the HCM-5080. The HCM-5080 and HCM-5070 have an integral hydraulic pump which is controlled by the controller. Humboldt Controllers have a 7” high-resolution, color, touch-screen which provides precise machine operation. And they both have two channel inputs for load which allows control of two separate compression frames and two additional channel inputs for displacement which allows for extensometer and compressometer testing

Humboldt’s HCM-5080 and HCM-5070 Console Automatic Digital Controllers for compression frames provide an easy-to-use automated work flow— just choose the test you want to run and the controller will guide you through the setup and run the test automatically, including releasing the pressure once failure has occurred. Choose the “Fast Testing” option and your compression machine will run tests as fast as you can load your cylinders, cubes or blocks while sequentially numbering each test automatically.

Humboldt’s HCM-5080 and HCM-5070 controllers have these tests built in: ASTM C39, C78, C293, C469, C496, C1019, C109/C109M and EN 12390-3. Just pick the test you want to run as you configure your test and the controller will guide you through setup and you can proceed with your test.Manual Controllers Humboldt also offers the HCM-5090 a digital indicator for use with manually-operated machines. This controller has many of the features of our automatic controllers except it is designed for use with a manually-operated pump. The HCM-5090 has the same test setups as the automatic controllers. Just pick the test you want to run as you configure your test and the controller will guide you through setup and you can proceed with your test.

Humboldt’s HCM-5090 Controller has a 7” high-resolution, color, touch-screen which provides precise machine operation. And, has two channel inputs for load which allows control of two separate compression frames and two additional channel inputs for displacement which allows for extensometer and compressometer.

For the budget-minded operator we also offer the i7 indicator which is a easy-to-use digital load indicator that displays both live load and rate of load values during a test.
