Gilson Aqua-Check Moisture Tester
The Gilson Aqua-Check Moisture Tester, made in the USA, provides an affordable, fast, and reliable solution for moisture testing on materials like sand, aggregates, ores, coal, and soils with particle sizes up to 20mm. Designed for on-site testing, it eliminates delays and moisture loss during transport. This portable device is user-friendly and compliant with ASTM, AASHTO, and Florida DOT standards.
To conduct a test, simply place a pre-weighed 20g sample into the test chamber along with a measured amount of Calcium Carbide Reagent (sold separately). After sealing and agitating the chamber for 1–3 minutes, the free moisture reacts with the reagent, producing acetylene gas. The pressure gauge then measures moisture accurately from 0–20% by weight in increments of 0.2%. Halve the sample weight to extend the moisture range.
Built with a rugged, die-cast aluminum body and durable coating, the Aqua-Check features a calibrated 0–20% pressure gauge and comes with essential accessories—all housed in a heavy-duty waterproof case. The tester is compatible with Speedy 2000 Moisture Testers and includes a certificate of calibration for reliability.
