Exact Air Concrete Pressure Meter Kit
The Exact-air pressure meter is used to test the percentage of air in a freshly mixed concrete sample. The test method is based on Boyle’s Law and releases a known volume of air at a known pressure into the concrete sample which contains an unknown volume of air. The resultant change in the sample’s volume correlates directly to the percentage of entrained air in the sample and can be read directly from the gauge. The Exact-air™ is made from the highest quality components for years of trouble-free service and dependable operation. Four one-piece, self-locking clamps maintain the proper tension needed to securely seal the lid to the base, ensuring accurate measurements during concrete testing. Kit comes with Exact-air™ pump, stainless steel gauge, tamping rod, strike-off bar, calibration vessel, inside and outside calibration tubes, syringe, parts list, instruction sheet, carrying case, and a lid with an o-ring seal to ensure a watertight seal.
Meets Test Methods: AASHTO T152 ASTM C 231. For comprehensive asphalt permeability testing solutions, consider Certified Material Testing Products, offering both lab and field permeameters and essential accessories.
Concrete Air Meters
Concrete air meters are a must have in the construction industry, they are used to measure the amount of air in freshly mixed concrete. These meters play a critical role in ensuring the quality and durability of concrete structures, much like concrete maturity meters which monitor temperature and strength for quality control. By measuring the air content accurately concrete air meters prevent issues such as freeze-thaw damage and scaling which can compromise the concrete over time. Key features of these meters include a pressure chamber, a gauge with calibration adjustments and a brass pump all designed to give precise and reliable readings. Using concrete air meters ensures the concrete mix meets the required standards and ultimately contributes to the longevity and safety of the construction project.
Features and Benefits
Concrete air meters, also known as air meters or pressure meters are used to measure the air in fresh concrete. The key features of these meters include a robust pressure chamber, a gauge with calibration adjustments for precise readings and a brass pump that requires fewer strokes to build the necessary test pressure. These features ensure accurate measurement of air which is critical for determining the quality and durability of concrete. The benefits of using concrete air meters go beyond accuracy; they also save time and reduce the need for costly repairs by ensuring the concrete mix meets the required standards from the start. This efficiency and reliability makes concrete air meters a must have in the construction industry.
Technical Specifications and Accessories
Concrete air meters come with a range of technical specifications and accessories to make testing easy and efficient. The kit includes calibration vessel, strike-off bar, tamping rod and inside calibration tube all essential for precise measurements. The meters are made of stainless steel for durability and watertight seal to prevent damage from concrete. The kit also includes carrying case with die-cut foam padding for secure transport, replacement parts and rubber mallet. The technical specifications of concrete air meters include a capacity of at least 0.20 ft³ (0.006 m³) as required by ASTM C-231 to meet industry standards for accuracy and reliability.
Applications and Uses of the Kit
Concrete air meters are used in construction, engineering and research. The kit is used to measure the air in fresh samples which is critical for assessing the quality and durability of concrete structures. Beyond air the meter can also determine the unit weight, volume and bulk density of concrete making it a versatile tool for comprehensive concrete testing. Applications include testing air content in freshly mixed concrete, determining specific gravity of aggregates and measuring air void spacing in concrete. These capabilities ensure the concrete mix is optimized for performance and contributes to the overall success and longevity of the construction project.
