The United Scientific 55215 Desiccator is the ideal solution for the safe storage of moisture-sensitive materials. Constructed from high-quality polypropylene and polycarbonate, this desiccator can withstand a vacuum of up to 740mm Hg for 24 hours without any need for lubrication. It is also autoclavable at 120 degrees Celsius for 15 minutes, ensuring that it is not only reliable, but also completely hygienic.

The top dome of the desiccator is molded from rigid and transparent polycarbonate, providing you with a crystal-clear view of your stored samples. Additionally, the knurled knob on the top makes it easy to handle the dome, even while wearing gloves. The transparent polypropylene base further enhances the viewing clarity, allowing you to easily monitor the contents of the desiccator. An internal groove on the flange holds the silicon rubber O-ring securely in place, preventing any air from entering the desiccator and compromising your samples.

The desiccator includes a perforated polypropylene plate that can be used to keep your samples elevated above any moisture that may collect at the bottom of the desiccator. The polypropylene stopcock features a self-lubricating PTFE plug, which allows you to quickly and easily create, hold, and release a vacuum. The three-way plug design is incredibly intuitive to use, ensuring that you never have to worry about accidentally exposing your samples to moisture.

With a size of 8 inches (200mm), the United Scientific 55215 Desiccator has a Flange O.D. / I.D. of 232 / 199mm, a Plate O.D. of 190mm, and a height of 257mm. The maximum clearance above the plate is 166mm, making it ideal for storing even larger samples.
