Dayton
The Dayton Superior Dowel-In is available Straight (D101), 90 ° and 180 ° Hooked (D102 and D103) and Double-Ended (D104). Each is manufactured from grade 60 deformed rebar material and is available in rebar sizes #4 through #11 in plain or epoxy coated finish. The threaded end of the Dowel-In is enlarged by forging, before threading, to ensure that the cross-sectional area of the bar is not reduced by the threading operation. This design feature assures full ultimate strength of the rebar. Dowel-ins are configured to facilitate easy installation and can be easily assembled by hand. On larger projects, such as highway paving, a centrifugal chuck on an electric or air-powered drill motor can be employed to speed installation.
The Dayton D101 Straight Steel Dowel-In provides exceptional strength and reliability for construction projects demanding high durability. Made from ASTM A706 grade 60 deformed rebar, this dowel-in is designed to withstand rigorous demands, making it an ideal choice for pavement applications, reinforced concrete structures, and other heavy-duty uses. Measuring 9 x 12 inches, the D101 variant ensures compatibility with a variety of project specifications. One of the standout features of the D101 is its innovative forging process. The threaded end is enlarged through forging prior to threading, which preserves the rebar's full cross-sectional strength during installation. This meticulous attention to detail guarantees that the dowel-in maintains its structural integrity, ensuring optimal performance in tension and shear forces throughout its lifespan.
The D101 Dowel-In is user-friendly, allowing for straightforward installation. Whether manually assembled or deployed with a centrifugal chuck connected to an electric or air-powered drill, the installation process is efficient and hassle-free. This flexibility especially benefits larger projects, saving time and labor costs.
Available in sizes #4 through #11, and offered in both plain and epoxy-coated finishes, the D101 can cater to various environmental conditions and project requirements. The epoxy coating serves as an additional layer of protection against corrosion, extending the life of the dowel-in even further.
Incorporating the Dayton D101 Dowel-In into your construction plans means choosing a product engineered for longevity, performance, and ease of use. With its robust design and thoughtful construction, the D101 Dowel-In stands out as a dependable solution for any heavy-load construction application.
