Dayton
The Dayton Superior Dowel-In is available Straight (D101), 90 ° and 180 ° Hooked (D102 and D103) and Double-Ended (D104). Each is manufactured from grade 60 deformed rebar material and is available in rebar sizes #4 through #11 in plain or epoxy coated finish. The threaded end of the Dowel-In is enlarged by forging, before threading, to ensure that the cross-sectional area of the bar is not reduced by the threading operation. This design feature assures full ultimate strength of the rebar. Dowel-ins are configured to facilitate easy installation and can be easily assembled by hand. On larger projects, such as highway paving, a centrifugal chuck on an electric or air-powered drill motor can be employed to speed installation.
Technical Data Sheets
D101 - Dowel-In Tech Data Sheet
The Dayton D101 Straight Steel Dowel-in is engineered for superior performance in construction projects, ensuring seamless connectivity and enhanced structural integrity. Measuring 5 inches in diameter and extending to 30 inches, this dowel-in is crafted from high-quality grade 60 deformed rebar material, compliant with ASTM A615 standards. Ideal for a variety of applications, the D101 offers unmatched reliability and strength, available in sizes ranging from #4 to #11, and can be specified in either plain or epoxy-coated finishes.
One of the standout features of the D101 is its innovative design. The forged and threaded end is specifically enhanced to maintain the full cross-sectional area, optimizing the dowel's strength by minimizing any potential weaknesses caused by the threading process. This thoughtful construction ensures that every Dowel-In delivers its maximum load-bearing capacity, making it a preferred choice for contractors and engineers.
Ease of installation is a pivotal aspect of the D101's design. Crafted for user-friendly assembly, it can be effortlessly installed by hand, although for larger projects—such as highway paving—contractors can benefit from utilizing a centrifugal chuck with an electric or air-powered drill motor, significantly accelerating the installation process.
The versatility of the Dayton D101 extends to various configurations, including straight, hooked, and double-ended options, allowing it to meet diverse project requirements. When it comes to ensuring durability and stability in concrete applications, the Dayton D101 Straight Steel Dowel-In stands out as a robust and reliable solution, setting the standard for quality in the concrete industry. Trust in Dayton Superior for accessories that lead the way in performance and longevity.
