This kit uses the relative humidity (RH) measurement method, providing a comprehensive moisture profile throughout the entire depth of the concrete slab, unlike surface-only measurements.
How it Works:
The process involves drilling a 0.625in (16mm) borehole into the concrete to a specified depth. This borehole is then lined with a plastic sleeve. After allowing the boreholes to reach temperature and moisture equilibrium (typically 24 hours), a BluePeg RH Probe is inserted. This probe is connected to the DuoTec BW Meter for periodic measurements of humidity levels. For convenience, probes are installed below the floor surface and covered with a cap between readings, ensuring minimal disruption to ongoing construction activities.
