Concrete Crack Data Logger, Wireless

Wireless Concrete Crack Data Loggers offer an advanced, precise solution for monitoring linear displacements in cracks and joints across various structures, including concrete, masonry, and other solid materials. These devices are essential for structural engineers, construction professionals, and maintenance teams seeking to understand structural behavior over time and ensure long-term integrity.

How It Works:

Each logger is designed for easy installation. It mounts securely on one side of a crack or joint, with a durable 3.15in (80mm) stainless steel cable attached to an eye bolt on the opposing side. As the crack widens or narrows, the cable either coils or uncoils from a high-precision rotary potentiometer integrated within the logger. This movement, alongside ambient temperature fluctuations, is accurately time-stamped and logged, providing a comprehensive data record.

Versatile Monitoring:

For applications requiring monitoring across larger gaps, optional extension cables are available in lengths of 12, 20, 39, and 79in (300, 500, 1,000, and 2,000mm). This flexibility ensures the system can be adapted to a wide range of structural monitoring scenarios.

Robust Data Acquisition:

These loggers boast an impressive data storage capacity, capable of recording up to 51,062 displacement and ambient temperature measurements. Users can define custom time intervals for data collection, ranging from as frequent as one minute to as infrequent as 91 hours, providing granular control over monitoring frequency. The linear movement readings offer exceptional resolution, down to 0.00012in (0.003mm), capturing even the most subtle structural shifts. Ambient temperatures are recorded across a broad range of -4°–176°F (-20°–80°C) with a 1°C resolution, offering critical environmental context for displacement data.

Power and Connectivity:

Each Wireless Concrete Crack Data Logger is powered by a long-lasting 1/2AA, 3.6V battery, providing up to four years of continuous operation, minimizing maintenance requirements. For wireless data transmission, a Wireless Communication Module is required; please note that this module is sold separately unless purchased as part of the Kit.
