Compressometer, Digital Dial Indicator, 6x12in
Compressometers are essential tools for measuring the average deformation and strain of concrete cylinders during compression testing. These measurements are critical for determining the modulus of elasticity, a key property in understanding the elastic behavior of concrete under load. Compressometers are designed with precision and durability, making them suitable for laboratory and testing environments.
Each compressometer consists of two lightweight aluminum alloy yokes that securely mount around the concrete specimen. The bottom yoke is rigid, while the upper yoke is hinged, allowing it to pivot for accurate alignment during testing. A fixed rod connects the yokes, ensuring stability and consistency in measurements. All rods and other components are made from cadmium-plated steel, offering enhanced durability and resistance to corrosion.
A mechanical dial gauge or digital indicator measures specimen deformation with high accuracy. Both types of indicators provide a range of 0.2in (5.08mm) and measure in increments as small as 0.0001in (0.0025mm). The compressometers are available in models designed to fit either 4in (102mm) or 6in (152mm) diameter concrete cylinders, ensuring compatibility with a variety of specimens.
Key Features:
- Lightweight aluminum alloy yokes for easy handling and setup.
- Choice between a mechanical dial gauge or a digital indicator for accurate deformation readings.
- Available models compatible with 4in (102mm) or 6in (152mm) concrete cylinders.
- All components are made from durable, corrosion-resistant cadmium-plated steel.
- Compliant with ASTM standards for reliable and standardized testing.
Additional Benefits:
- Designed for quick assembly and easy operation, even in high-volume testing scenarios.
- Ideal for quality control, research, and development applications in the construction and materials industry.
- Provides reliable, repeatable results for determining the modulus of elasticity.
Standards Compliance:
- Meets ASTM C469/469M specifications for measuring static modulus of elasticity and Poisson’s ratio of concrete.
Whether you’re conducting research, quality assurance, or compliance testing, a compressometer ensures precise and dependable results, helping engineers and researchers analyze concrete performance with confidence.
