Cascade TEK TVO-2-A Vacuum Oven Automation, 1.67CF Capacity, Max. Temp 220C
AUTOMATED – TVO-2-A has Easy Push Button Execution of Pre-Programmed Drying Process. Air lab ovens are great for drying, curing and baking in lab and industrial environments. Pneumatic solenoid valves open and close a vacuum valve and a backfilling valve. Feedthrough and power connections can be customized to fit your needs, so you can adapt to any application. The Vacuum Valve is controlled by the Watlow EZ Zone and is time based. Wet vacuum pumps work with vacuum ovens to make complete vacuum drying systems. Good for multiple pump/purge processes.
Cascade TEK offers a variety of vacuum ovens for lab and industrial use. Our vacuum ovens are built for precise temperature control, consistent performance and reliability. We focus on sustainability so our ovens are designed to reduce energy consumption and waste. Our product line includes benchtop ovens, cabinet ovens, walk-in ovens and custom ovens for industries such as aerospace, medical devices and satellite. Whether you need a small oven for a small lab or a large oven for industrial use, Cascade TEK has the thermal processing solution for you.
TVO-2-A Automation Oven with Rear Vacuum Connections
The automation feature in the TVO-2-A allows the operator to manually operate the vacuum system or use profiles in the Watlow controller to operate the vacuum system in the oven. The rear vacuum connections are key to the operation and versatility of the vacuum ovens, providing different types of connections for vacuum pumps and purge/backfill functionality. The vacuum system includes an electro-pneumatic isolation valve between the oven & vacuum pump. This valve is controlled by an event output in the Watlow controller. The operator can turn this event on by pressing a button on the controller. The valve will open and the vacuum pump will evacuate the oven down to the ultimate pressure rating of the vacuum pump. The purge hand valves are on the front control panel for easy use and accessibility to backfill with nitrogen. When the process is complete the operator turns off the vacuum event and the oven will automatically backfill to 500 Torr. This backfill limit is controlled by a set point in the digital vacuum gauge controller and can be adjusted by the operator if a different level is desired. It can also be set to not auto backfill if desired. The TVO-2-A can also be programmed to do this function in a recipe with heating so multiple pump/purge & heating cycles can be performed without the operator having to control the oven.
Includes Inficon (1000 Torr to 0.1 mTorr) Full Range Digital Vacuum Gauge to read the ultimate vacuum of the process/pump.

How Vacuum Ovens Work
A vacuum oven works by removing air and moisture from the oven chamber creating a controlled atmosphere. This is done by a vacuum pump which removes air and moisture from the chamber. The oven temperature is controlled by a programmable controller which allows for precise temperature control. The purge valve is used to backfill the chamber with an inert gas such as nitrogen to prevent contamination. The digital vacuum gauge measures the vacuum level in the chamber to ensure the desired level is reached. The oven’s safety certifications such as analog outputs and sensor connections ensure safe and reliable operation. This combination of features and safety makes our vacuum ovens perfect for laboratory or industrial use.
