Carbolite 11/18 Standard Ashing Furnaces, 18 Liters
The AAF ashing furnace is designed to give the best ashing conditions to ensure complete combustion of the sample. The furnace preheats the incoming air and exchanges it adequately to maintain the optimal oxygen levels which is essential for temperature uniformity and efficiency of the ashing process. For a laboratory environment where ashing is mixed with other heat treatment work the AAF 12/18 gives all the benefits of an ashing furnace but with a higher max temperature of 1200 °C.
Standard Features

Ashing furnaces are laboratory equipment designed to heat prepared samples in air to oxidize organic compounds and leave behind inorganic, non-combustible compounds in the form of ash. The ashing process is defined by international standards such as ISO, EN, and ASTM which defines the process and equipment used. Our ashing furnaces are designed to give the best ashing conditions with features such as chamber air inlet, complete combustion and low external temperature. These furnaces ensure the ashing process is efficient and reliable making them a must have in any laboratory where precise and consistent results are required.
Ashing Furnace Features
Our ashing furnaces have the following features:
-
Preheated air inlet system for constant oxygen supply for the ashing heating process so the sample burns completely and uniformly.
-
Chamber design for optimal air exchange to promote complete combustion of organic materials and minimize incomplete ashing.
-
Elements are protected by hard ceramic plates for precise temperature control and repeated heating cycles.
-
Chamber is replaceable, built to withstand high temperature and corrosive environment.
-
Safety door switch cuts power to elements when door is opened for laboratory personnel safety.
-
Customizable controller for temperature profile programming and data acquisition.
