The Automatic Soil Processor simplifies soil sample preparation, saving technicians time and effort while meeting ASTM and AASHTO specifications for moisture/density (Proctor) and other tests. This unit processes up to 40lb (18kg) of cohesive soil in 15 minutes even with difficult materials like fat clays, lean clays or wet soils. Rocks are automatically separated from the soil sample during processing. The replaceable No. 4 screen filters the soil into the SC-3 pan while preserving particle integrity. The weighted cover applies vertical force, the back and forth motion of the tray moves the sample laterally against the upper screen. When the cycle is complete the processor shuts off when the lid is 1/4in (6mm) from the screen. Designed for continuous use without compromising performance.
