Deslauriers 6in Unbonded Capping Neoprene Pad Cap, 60 Duro (24/Box)
The Neoprene Compression Pad flows into irregularities and distributes the test load uniformly without creating air pockets to assure consistent breaks. Patented “stay in place” nubs, secure pads into cups.
Compression pads are available in several hardnesses.50 duro for design strength 1500 to 6000 psi.
60 duro for design strength 2500 to 7000 psi.
70 duro for design strength 4000 to 12,000 psi.
Qualifying tests must be performed for strength over 7,000 psi per ASTM.

6in (152.4mm) Neoprene Pads come in 50, 60, or 70 durometer. They are used when testing compressive strength of 6x12in concrete cylinders and meet ASTM C1231/1231M and AASHTO T 22 standards. The pads are 0.5in (12.7mm) thick and flow during compression to fill irregularities in cylinder ends and ensure uniform load distribution. The 6in Steel Retainer Set are sold separately and required to hold the pads at both ends of the cylinder. Two pads are required. Pads can be used up to 100 times.

Available in 50, 60, or 70 durometer hardness, these pads are suitable for various design strengths ranging from 1500 to 12,000 psi. The 60 duro model is specifically designed for design strengths of 2500 to 7000 psi. However, for strengths exceeding 7,000 psi, qualifying tests must be performed in accordance with ASTM standards.
The neoprene pads are 6 inches (152.4mm) in size and have a thickness of 0.5 inches (12.7mm). They are designed to flow during compression, filling irregularities in the cylinder ends and ensuring uniform load distribution. This helps to prevent the creation of air pockets, leading to consistent and accurate test results.
To hold the pads securely in place at both ends of the cylinder, the 6in Steel Retainer Set is required. Sold separately, this set is specifically designed for the Deslauriers neoprene pads. Each cylinder requires two pads, and the pads can be used up to 100 times, making them cost-effective and practical for repeated testing.
