AC-650 Series Automatic Concrete Compression Machines

The AC-650 Series is designed for fully automated strength testing of concrete cylinders, beams, cores, cubes, and more. With a simple press of a button on the touchscreen controller, the machine handles the entire test cycle, including specimen contact, pre-loading, load rate control, data collection, break detection, and piston return. It adheres to ASTM, AASHTO, and other testing standards, ensuring precise and consistent results while eliminating variations in procedures and load rates.

Operators can select test methods, sample types, and parameters directly on the intuitive touchscreen. During testing, force, stress, and load rate are displayed in real-time, with optional load vs. time or stress vs. strain graphs. Precision regulation of load rates is achieved through feedback during loading. USB, LAN, and Wi-Fi connectivity enable instant printing and seamless data transfer to a PC for reporting.

Easily store and manage data like lab details, sample IDs, and client information for accurate reporting. The diagnostics feature provides instant system status updates, ensuring all components are functioning properly before testing begins.

The machine’s advanced drive system features an energy-efficient motor and hydraulic pump that operate at variable speeds, reducing noise, maintaining consistent pressure, and extending the lifespan of hydraulic components. The welded steel frame exceeds ACI 363 standards for rigidity and longevity. The top-mounted piston prevents wear caused by test debris, and safety features include an emergency stop button, hydraulic relief valve, fragment guard door, and over-travel limit switch.

This unit is ready for testing 6x12in (152x305mm) concrete cylinders up to 18,400psi (128,868kPa) with user-provided neoprene caps and steel retainers.

Special Models: AC-650M and AC-650MR

Factory-modified models include a different manifold and optional proportional valve for controlled piston retraction. These models are compatible with ASTM C469 modulus of elasticity (MOE) and Poisson’s ratio tests on 4 or 6in cylinders. They also support compressive, flexural, and splitting tensile strength tests. Compressometer and extensometer fixtures for MOE and Poisson’s ratio testing are sold separately.
