Triaxial Test Cells are designed to measure the compressive strength of soil samples ranging from 1.4 to 3 inches (35.6 to 76.2mm) in diameter. These test cells work seamlessly with the Master Control Panel and Auxiliary Control Panel but are also compatible with similar systems. Choose from models featuring high-quality brass or corrosion-resistant stainless steel valves and fittings for durability. Built with solid, machined aluminum bases, these cells can handle heavy loads with ease.

The chamber interior, measuring 4.75 x 10.75 inches (121 x 273mm), is available in either heavy-wall clear acrylic for visibility during testing or aluminum for added robustness. The precision-ground load piston, crafted from polished stainless steel, includes internally lubricated and sealed U-cup and nylon sleeve bearings for minimal friction. Additional features include zero-volume change ball valves and a maximum operating pressure of 150psi (10.3 bar).

Test Cells are constructed for high performance, with stainless steel valves and fittings that resist corrosion and withstand exposure to harsh testing fluids.

Test Cell Kit

A Test Cell Kit is required for soil testing and is sold separately on the Triaxial Cell Accessories page. The kit includes size-specific components necessary for testing 1.4 to 3-inch specimens, such as an anodized aluminum cap and pedestal, two porous stones, two latex membranes, and four O-rings. For additional precision, a Digital Pore Pressure Gauge with Transducer is highly recommended (sold separately).
