For best results, fill no more than two-thirds of the bowl's total volume with balls and sample material, leaving at least one-third of the space for effective grinding action.
• Material Compatibility: It is advisable to use grinding bowls and balls made from a material harder than the sample to prevent wear. For extremely hard samples, tungsten carbide balls in steel bowls or zirconium oxide balls in corundum bowls can significantly enhance grinding efficiency. However, users should consider the potential risk of cross-contamination when using dissimilar materials.
