2in Unbonded Capping Neoprene Pad Cap, 70 Durometer
Sold individually. Two pads are required for compression testing of concrete cylinders. For convenience, you can choose 12 pads to complete one box.
The 2in (50.8mm) Neoprene Pads are 0.5in (12.7mm) thick and available in 50 or 70 durometers, ideal for compressive strength testing of 2in concrete cylinders. These pads are designed to flow under compression, filling any irregularities in the cylinder ends to ensure even load distribution during testing. This ensures reliable and accurate results. A 2in Steel Retainer Set, sold separately, includes two rings designed to firmly hold one pad on each end of the concrete cylinder during testing. Each pad can be reused for up to 100 tests, making them a cost-effective solution for repeated use. Note that two pads are required for every single compression test.
These Neoprene Pads are versatile and can also be used for 2.125in (54mm) diameter rock cores, offering flexibility for various applications.
Choosing the Right Pad:
- 50 Durometer Pads: Best for testing concrete with design strengths from 1,500–6,000 psi.
- 60 Durometer Pads: Suitable for testing design strengths from 2,500–7,000 psi.
- 70 Durometer Pads: Ideal for design strengths ranging from 4,000–12,000 psi. These pads are particularly effective for testing concrete strengths between 4,000–7,000 psi (28–50 MPa).
Durability and Standards: Each pad adheres to the ASTM C1231 and AASHTO T22 standards, ensuring high-quality testing results. The pads are ASTM-compliant and reusable up to 100 tests, which maximizes their value and reduces testing costs.
Key Features:
- Designed for use with 2in concrete cylinders and 2.125in rock cores.
- Compatible with steel retainer sets for added stability.
- Available in multiple hardness options to suit different design strengths.
- Meets industry standards: ASTM C1231 and AASHTO T22.
Whether you're conducting routine tests or working with high-strength concrete, these Neoprene Pads provide reliable, accurate, and repeatable results for your compression testing needs.
