This Porous Stone measures 2in (50.8mm) in diameter and 0.50in (12.7mm) thick, made from high-quality aluminum oxide. It provides rigid support for cylindrical soil samples while allowing fluid to flow in both directions.
We offer a wide range of Porous Stones for various geotechnical laboratory applications, including triaxial shear, permeability, direct shear, and consolidation testing.
Porous Stones enable the flow and measurement of water or other permeants during testing while preventing fine particles from entering the system. These high-quality stones feature a permeability range of 15-18ft³ (424-510L) of air per square foot and an average pore size of 179μm. All Porous Stones are ready for immediate shipment.
