Filter Flask, 1000ml, w/3/8” ID, Side-Tubulation - Heavy-duty 2,000/4,000ml sizes have thick wall for max. strength. Glass is chemical, heat and wear resistant.
Filter Flasks are thick-walled Pyrex® glass and have side tubulation for .375in (9.5mm) I.D. vacuum tubing. Filtering flasks come in various capacities, materials, and mouth styles to suit different scientific needs. When used in conjunction with Indicating Drierite Granules, filtering flasks with a conical shape can be used as a moisture trap for vacuum pump protection. Neoprene Stoppers and Neoprene Stoppers w/ Glass Tube are available to fit each size of the filter flask.
The 1,000ml Flask is most commonly used as a moisture trap due to its manageable size. The 1,000 mL Pyrex Glass Filtering Flask uses a No. 8 Stopper or No. 8 Stopper w/ Glass Tube.
