Whitehouse Sieve Standards No.40 (425 micrometer)
Whitehouse Sieve Standards offer an efficient and reliable method for calibrating No. 6 (3.35mm) and finer sieves with traceability to NIST. Calibration takes just minutes, eliminating the need to send sieves away or take them out of service. Regular checks help determine when sieves need replacement. Each set includes five single-use vials of glass beads, designed for a single sieve size. One vial is sufficient for 8in or 200mm sieves, while larger sieves (up to 18in or 450mm) require two to five vials. After calibration, the average aperture can easily be determined using the included calibration graph.
Whitehouse has been selected by the Community Bureau of Reference (BCR) to provide standards for the European Community. These standards are traceable to NIST, NPL, and BCR. The glass beads are highly spherical, made from soda-lime glass with a specific gravity of 2.45, and undergo certification using electroformed sieves, microscopy, and image analysis for precise sizing.
The Whitehouse Sieve Standards for No. 40 (425µm) sieves come with five vials, each containing 2.5g of beads, perfect for calibration and performance testing.
