Whitehouse Sieve Standards offer a reliable and efficient method for calibrating No. 6 (3.35mm) and finer sieves, with full traceability to NIST. Calibration is quick and easy, taking just minutes, and there’s no need to send sieves off-site or take them out of service. Regular checks with these standards help determine when sieves need replacement, ensuring consistent performance. Each set includes five single-use vials of precision glass beads designed for a specific sieve size. Use one vial for 8in or 200mm sieves, while larger sieves up to 18in or 450mm may require two to five vials. Calibration results are easily interpreted using the included calibration graph.

Whitehouse has been selected by the Community Bureau of Reference (BCR) to produce standards for the European Community. These standards are traceable to NIST, NPL, and BCR. The high-quality glass beads, made from soda-lime glass with a specific gravity of 2.45, are certified for size using electroformed sieves and verified through microscopy and image analysis.
