Whitehouse Sieve Standards No.16 (1.18mm)
Whitehouse Sieve Standards offer a precise and efficient method for calibrating No. 6 (3.35mm) and finer sieves with full traceability to NIST. These calibrations can be completed in just minutes without the need to send sieves off-site, keeping them in service without delays. Regular checks using Whitehouse Standards help determine when sieves need replacement. Each set includes five single-use vials of soda-lime glass beads, customized for a specific sieve size. One vial is sufficient for 8in or 200mm sieves, while 2–5 vials are used for larger sieves, up to 18in or 450mm. After calibration, the average aperture size can be quickly determined using the provided calibration graph.
Whitehouse has earned recognition from the Community Bureau of Reference (BCR) to produce standards for the European Community. These standards are traceable to NIST, NPL, and BCR. The high-precision glass beads are made from soda-lime glass with a specific gravity of 2.45 and are certified using electroformed sieves, microscopy, and image analysis.
Whitehouse Sieve Standards for No. 16 (1.18mm) sieves come with five vials, each containing 10.0g of glass beads.
