Whitehouse Sieve Standards No. 140 (106 Micrometer)
Whitehouse Sieve Standards offer an efficient and reliable method for calibrating No. 6 (3.35mm) and finer sieves with full traceability to NIST. These standards allow you to perform calibrations in just minutes without having to send your sieves off-site or take them out of service. Regular checks can help determine when sieve replacement is needed. Each set includes five single-use vials of glass beads, designed for one specific sieve size. For 8in or 200mm sieves, one vial is sufficient, while larger sieves up to 18in or 450mm in diameter may require two to five vials. After processing, the average aperture can be easily determined using the included calibration graph.
Recognized by the Community Bureau of Reference (BCR) to produce standards for the European Community, Whitehouse Sieve Standards are traceable to NIST, NPL, and BCR. Made from 2.45 specific gravity soda-lime glass, the highly spherical beads are certified for size using electroformed sieves and cross-checked with microscopy and image analysis.
The No. 140 (106µm) Whitehouse Sieve Standards come with five vials, each containing a nominal weight of 1.0g.
