Whitehouse Sieve Standards No.10 (2.00mm)
Whitehouse Sieve Standards offer an efficient and reliable method for calibrating No. 6 (3.35mm) and finer sieves with full traceability to NIST. These standards allow quick, on-site calibration without the need to ship sieves out or take them out of service. Regular checks with Whitehouse Standards help determine when sieves need replacement. Each set includes five single-use vials of precisely sized glass beads designed for a specific sieve size. One vial is used for 8in or 200mm sieves, while two to five vials are recommended for sieves up to 18in or 450mm. After testing, the average aperture can be easily determined using the provided calibration graph.
Whitehouse Standards are trusted globally, having been chosen by the Community Bureau of Reference (BCR) to produce standards for the European Community. They are traceable to NIST, NPL, and BCR, ensuring high-quality calibration. The beads, made from 2.45 specific gravity soda-lime glass, are highly spherical and certified for size using electroformed sieves, with additional verification through microscopy and image analysis.
For sieves with No. 10 (2.00mm) openings, Whitehouse Sieve Standards include five vials, each containing a nominal weight of 20.0g.
