The Sound Level Pen is a compact and highly convenient tool for a wide range of sound measurement applications. Its small size allows for easy portability and use in various environments, from industrial settings to residential noise assessments.

Simple and Intuitive Operation Engineered for ease of use, this device features a simple one-button operation.

• Power On & Measure: A single press turns the unit on and begins providing real-time sound level readings.
• Max Hold Function: Press the button a second time to activate the "Max Hold" feature. The display will freeze on the highest sound level detected, updating only when a new peak is reached. This is ideal for capturing transient noise spikes.
• Power Off: To conserve battery life, simply press and hold the button for two seconds to turn the unit off.

Accurate and Reliable Performance The Sound Level Pen measures sound levels across a broad range of 30 to 130 dB on the "A" weighting scale, which is most commonly used for environmental and workplace noise evaluation as it mimics human hearing. It boasts an accuracy of ±1.5 dB, ensuring reliable results. The clear digital display provides a 0.1 dB resolution for precise readings. For user convenience, the screen also includes indicators for "under range," "over range," and "low battery" status.

Calibration and Certification Maintain peak accuracy with simple calibration options. The pen can be calibrated electronically using its own internal oscillator or with an external 2-Point Acoustical Calibrator (Model 850016). For applications requiring documented accuracy, an N.I.S.T. Traceable Certificate of Calibration is available for an additional cost.
