Adjustable Soil Trimmers are designed to prepare cylindrical soil samples with precision, accommodating diameters from 1 to 4in (25.4 to 101.6mm).

Featuring a rigid vertical metal frame with freely rotating top and bottom platens, these trimmers ensure accurate cuts. An adjustable trimming guide provides control, allowing users to lower and lock the top platen assembly onto the centered sample. Interchangeable Top Platens (sold separately) can be selected for the desired finished diameter. Trimming is performed using a knife or Wire Saw as the sample rotates, presenting fresh surfaces for each cut.

The trimmer features a sturdy frame mounted on a 6in (152mm) square aluminum base with nonskid rubber feet. The platens include short pins for sample stability, and the top platen is height-adjustable on a steel rod. Both platens rotate smoothly on sealed cartridge bearings, ensuring precise and consistent trimming without side play.

 This cost-effective model handles common soil sample diameters from 1 to 3in (25.4 to 76.2mm) and lengths up to 7.5in (190mm). Interchangeable Top Platens are available separately and are required for operation.
