The Oakfield Apparatus Compact One-Piece Soil Probe is their smallest one-piece probe, measuring 19" long. It's a perfect balance between affordability, professional quality, and portability.
The 8" handle is welded on to the soil tube so there are no parts to remove, making it easy to grab and go. As a single unit it's incredibly durable, and comes with a replaceable, screw-on Regular Soil Tip.
Takes a core sample approximately 15" long by 3/4" in width (outer diameter of the probe is 15/16"). The tube is designed to eliminate friction in the tube after cutting the sample. It has a non-clogging design with a cut-out in the front to allow for easy soil removal, visual inspection, and cleaning. The sample is unloaded from the tube without binding or compacting. It is marked at 6" intervals to indicate sampling depth.
