Soil Density Split Mold Set, 6in
6in Soil Density Mold Sets are essential tools for Proctor Compaction tests, used to determine the soil moisture-density relationship. These molds are compatible with soil compaction hammers and Mechanical Soil Compactors. Each set includes a mold body, detachable extension collar, and base plate. The molds feature a 6in (152mm) nominal diameter, stand 4.584in (116.4mm) tall, and have a volume of 0.075ft³ (2,124cm³). Constructed from durable, clear-zinc plated steel, they are designed to resist rust and wear. Individual components—Body, Base Plate, and Collar—are also available separately.
Choose between split or solid mold bodies. Split molds feature spring-loaded sides that open when unclamped, allowing easy removal of compacted soil. Solid molds are compatible with sample ejectors for effortless specimen handling.
