Soggy Bottom Sampling System Complete

This manually-operated sampler is designed for discrete interval sediment sampling in rivers, lakes, wetlands, and estuaries.

To collect a sample, lower the assembled sampler to the water's surface or drive it to the desired depth. Once at the sampling depth, retract the Internal Rods connected to the Internal Drive Tip. Retracting the rods releases the Internal Drive Tip, which is then stored in a chamber at the top of the sampler. Attach the Heavy-Duty Slide Hammer with the 1-1/8" Hammer Adapter, and drive the sampler to collect the sediment sample. After collection, remove the rods and sampler from the borehole.

For hard or compact sediments, use the reverse hammer function with the Heavy-Duty Slide Hammer or the optional Removal Jack with a Chain Pull Cap. After extraction, disassemble the sampler to access the Plastic Liners, which can be capped for transport to the lab.
