The Portable Beam Tester is designed for quick and easy field testing of 6x6in (152x152mm) concrete beam specimens with a minimum length of 20in (508mm). Its lightweight, portable design allows for easy transport and setup, making it an ideal solution for on-site flexural strength testing. With the ability to quickly switch between third-point and center-point flexural loading configurations, this tester is versatile and efficient for a variety of testing needs.

Powered by a hydraulic loading system, the Portable Beam Tester delivers reliable performance. While it does not strictly meet ASTM/AASHTO requirements, test results are highly comparable to those produced by more expensive, fully compliant machines, offering excellent value without compromising accuracy.

The tester includes upper bearing assemblies for both center-point and third-point loading, with third-point assembly bearing points spaced 6in (152mm) center-to-center. Elastic bands hold the assemblies in a raised position, simplifying specimen placement. Lower bearing points on the load frame are spaced 18in (457.2mm) on-center and pivot to accommodate beam deflection during testing. A manually-operated pump assembly with a 6in (152mm) diameter, direct-reading gauge is connected to the hydraulic cylinder and load frame via a 4ft (1.2m) quick-disconnect hose. The high-quality gauge, graduated from 0-1500 psi, ensures precise readings with ±0.25% accuracy.
