The Plastic Limit Roller is designed to meet ASTM and AASHTO standards for precise Atterberg Limits testing of the plastic limit in cohesive soils. Its patented design ensures consistent and repeatable results. The device features rigid acrylic top and bottom roller plates, separated by 1/8in (3.2mm) side rails. Adhesive-backed absorbent paper covers the contact surfaces, keeping soil samples free of added fibers. The top plate rolls the soil sample against the fixed bottom plate until it reaches the 1/8in (3.2mm) side rails, preventing further reduction in thread size. The kit includes a top plate with an integral handle, a bottom plate, and a 50-sheet adhesive paper pad.
