Wheel Blocks | Seedburo Rail Equipment
The "Nine-Lives" Wheel Wedge replaces oak blocks for chocking idle rail cars on storage tracks where cars are not subject to vibration.
Molded in a special grade of urethane, the wedge is 10" long x 2-1/2" high x 3-1/4" wide.
Rail car must be stationary before using wedge. After setting care brake, worker slips Wedge under wheel. The wedge blocks the wheel and when the wedge needs to be moved, the worker does not have to stoop down and try to free it from the wheel. Instead, the rail car can be run over the edge with no damage to the wedge and no risk of derailing the car.
Do not used wheel wedge for cars being loaded or unloaded - use steel wheel chocks instead.
Use on exposed rail (rail above ground level).
